On Saturday, November 5, 2011, the Gen1 family gathered for a field trip to the wonderful city of Manhattan for a chance to see the highly-acclaimed stage play, 'The Lion King.' Lavish set designs, incredible wardrobes, and absolutely exquisite musical performances came together for what was an elegant and shimmering performance. Gen1 students and friends all enjoyed the long-running tale from start to finish. For some students, it was their first time ever seeing a Broadway performance. For many others, it was even the first opportunity to get a glimpse at the buzzing and beautiful city of New York. It was a bite out of the Big Apple that Gen1ers won't soon forget the taste of.
