On Thursday, September 8, 2011, the Gen1 program started the fall 2011 semester by kicking things off with the Gen1 Big Brother/Big Sister Reception in the Cuvilly Student-Faculty Exchange. In addition to seeing tons of familiar Gen1 faces and hearing about how they spent their summer breaks, we were also introduced to our new Gen1 interns, Omar English and Jessica Bower, and our new Gen1 students. Dr. Greene talked with them about the purpose of being a Big Brother/Big Sister and also about the future of the Gen1 program. Students later chatted while enjoying refreshments, and there was even a drawing for lots of great prizes.
